Voltage Effects- Yarn Spinning Mill

ABSTRACT

While Indian garment business is generally regarded as one of the countries benefited due to phasing out of quotas, there will be winning and loosing enterprises. This transformation might have negative impact, especially if the trend towards pure economies of scale and mass production prevails. Spinning and Textile enterprises may risk losing out in the large markets. For that reason many companies in the garment business compares and positions the performance of an enterprise with that of other firms, at the national and/or international level. As these are intensive electricity consuming entities, power quality audit and verification of specific consumption for unit production is an essential aspect. This study at a south Indian Spinning mill is expected to provide an insight.
